I am inspired by metaphors and social paradigms. This relationship enables me to de-construct formal elements and compose compositions that evoke movement and layered dimensions. As a composer leads an orchestra, my goal is to engage the viewer by challenging their perceptions and their understanding of nature. In view of current artists, I am connected with the work of Christopher Wool.

Ramon Royce is a contemporary visual artist. His work is varied and presented in multiple mediums, to include: paintings, prints, installations, and sculptures. He studied art at Eastern Michigan University, earning a BFA in 1990. In 1997, he earned his MFA degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In his early years, he worked directly under the tutelage of renowned artist Charles McGee, Ray Yoshida, and Ted Halkin. Expanding on their language of art, his inspiration derived from Modernism and the de-construction of formal elements. Challenging the pre-determined role of the artist to act as a supplier of information. Royce adopts the notion that external factors are intrinsically linked to the language of art. As a conductor leads a symphony, Royce continues to examine the relationship between metaphors, themes, and social paradigms. Building on this layered approach, he presents a platform of juxtaposing elements and explicit details. In his analysis, creative thinking involves the rejection of conventional thought and the generation of alternatives and unconventional ideas.
