About The Artwork
"All space is already taken..." that's how I feel working as a sculptor. I am not creating artworks, I just release what I see and remove the unnecessary stone/material from where it should not be. There is no such thing as starting from a white canvas. What/who inspired the work? There is no specific inspiration or work involved. I am working intuitively and see what comes to the surface. It looks like a mix of different human ethnics and Origins. What do you hope its viewers will feel/think? I have no expectations of what to see and experience emotionally for the viewers, but I just hope that they also can feel a bit of my multiple layers of sub-conscious visualisations and a journey between different cultures and facial expressions. Every time I look at the sculpture, my eyes focusses on something new or on a specific light/shadow game I discover. For sure a timeless sculpture which will express itself hopefully over centuries. Why did you choose the medium, subject matter, style? I did not choose any styles, it just came.
