About The Artwork

After new inspiration from the unfamiliar territory (for me) of biochemistry and DNA the search for the next form ensued with some roughness and blank patches. The next form was out of sight. I was blind to it but pushing on through the fog. Eventually, upon sitting down one day to draw some ideas it was the first one out. I immediately set to work and as a result the title, which I normally devise at the time of inception, was not, and remained in that state of potential until the day of this writing. Upon contemplating a name, I took to noticing a certain "marriage of geometry and organism". I thought this was quite an interesting theme but after some thought relegated it to a sub-theme. I considered attaching the piece to the "Return to Equilibrium" series but felt that it had a more specific nature to it at its core. There is a sense of elasticity and stretching from a center and the two openings in the form express strong movement. "The infinitesimal center" implies the abstract and intangible nature of "singularity" and relates to (the center of) balance in the freestanding sculpture. "The expressions thence" refers to forms of this series. The geometric Order In all its splendour— Rushing rivers And pulsing planets, Non-directional motion And unmoving speed— Life continues While we ponder— The polygonal faces Classifying the noetic planes, The limitless musings Penetrating endlessly— The wonder of Ratio And the order of sound— The majesty of Motion And the unfathomable Reality— The compassion for Fish And the rhythm of the heart— The tones of silence And inverse geometry— MS2020
