All the Presidents Heads Sculpture Collection Sculpture

ALL THE PRESIDENTS HEADS SCULPTURE COLLECTION This is a unique sculpture collection of all 45 Presidents, never sculpted on this scale before. In February 2020 I sculpted a couple of the early presidents in clay, just as the Covid pandemic was starting. When it looked like the pandemic could go on for some time, I set myself the task of using my Covid down-time to sculpt all 45 presidents in order. In my sculptures, I set out to capture what I see as the presidential features of each president with some hint about their character. All are looking presidential, composed and studious. I have simplified their features, often highlighting patterns and symmetry that I see in their faces and head structure. Influenced by the Mount Rushmore sculptures, I have my presidents simply emerging out of a clay base without any upper clothing detail. They are fired in a brushed bronze glaze. It took me about 12 hours to complete the sculpting in clay for all 45 presidents. Then they have to dry and undergo two firings in the kiln; one initial firing and one after the glaze had been added. The project took two and a half years to complete.
