Full Title, the night leads me straight to temptation and that's just what my memory craves Music, specifically Pop Music plays a pivotal part in my creative process. I hone in on both the lyrics and movement of the words as they are played out in a song visualizing shape and form, presenting a back and forth dialogue between objects. My primary medium is porcelain, which allows me to work organically, adding or removing clay during the building process. This piece was fired in a cone 10 reduction kiln, then I sandblasted the glazed surfaces emphasizes the design and texture as well as creating a visual partnership between the pieces. Listening to the gothic country ballads of Victor Mourning, I began to sketch out ideas playing on the push pull; making one side very angular and the other more soft and open.
