This sculpture/painting is unique. One of a kind, it would be a center piece in any home. It is another of my heavily textured mixed media based paintings. I use this medium as it gives a 3D effect and is striking to look at in any light situation. The name Baja relates to the central design which is similar to a Cactus plant from the Baja region of Mexico. A very dry and arid region that has some very hardy cacti. The single color of Pearl White accentuates the ridges and troughs in the texture. With the varying light intensity of the day and night gives a different appeal each time you look at the painting. It is varnished with a subtle satin finish to enhance the color and protect the paint. This painting is 81 cm high and 59.5 cm wide and 5 cm deep.It weighs 5.5 Kg. I hand make the frame and use a quality marine grade plywood top. The strength of the frame is needed with such a heavy medium. On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity. It is wired ready to hang and has felt cushion to protect your walls. This painting will be shipped in a crate for your protection.
