About The Artwork

From garbage, discarded wood becomes sculptures that represent the importance of preserving nature and the resistance of indigenous peoples; an alert about . This is the concept of the pieces created by Zago, the multi-artist from Goiás, Brazil. The shapes refer to the disconnection of man with nature, which does not see itself as part of the environment. The colors of the works yellow, orange, red and black allude to the fires, one of the problems we are experiencing, especially in the North and Midwest. This is a tribute to the Borari indigenous people, who inhabit the banks of the Tapajós and Maró-Arapiuns rivers in western Pará state, in northern Brazil. The festivity depicts the origin of the Borari.
