Brewing wind is a sculpture made in alabaster, worked in direct carving. To stir the wind is an expression meaning to talk a lot or to act for little final results, to talk for nothing. A human activity quite common.

France
TomSturm is a contemporary French sculptor. He started his career as a graphic designer. His daily life in front of a screen is filled with layouts, illustrations and 2d and 3d animations. But the virtual has its limits. Then came the time to measure himself against the material, and sculpting stone became an obvious choice. His technique: direct carving, all manual, traditional from the carving to the polishing. His style: pure lines, in search of a simplified form. His quest: to shape the stone and find the human in it. His desire: to laugh about it, or at least to smile about it. TomSturm hopes that you will find as much pleasure in seeing or owning these works as he had in sculpting them.
