About The Artwork
The Buffalo is probably one of the most earthbound animals to roam the earth. With this in mind I tried to visualize its manifestation in relation to the ground beneath. I started out by sculpting the animal and later on added the wooden column and the plate of mirrored brass as a way of emphasizing gravitation, and at the same time denouncing it. I consider it as a trbute to Plato.
