Brugger has been experimenting for years with a wood paste she developed herself, which she elaborately produces from wood chips and sawdust. Among other things, this is also the basic material for her art objects. Each individual ball was previously made from a self-produced wood paste, which in turn was associated with long drying times. Subsequently, this wall object was built with these many, individual balls. Different colors of these result from the deliberate use of different types of wood. In the center of this freely designed tree disc you will find a very abstracted figure in the lotus seat or also called meditation seat. The figure comes even more to the fore through the contour with gold leaf designed bright gilding. The freely interpreted tree slice is outlined with matte gold leaf. Fine lines coordinated in nuances complete the whole. The gold stands for enlightenment or the pursuit of it and the return to the true self. The gold of your soul wants to be discovered.
