About The Artwork
Coexistence, kinetic sculpture, different display possibilities. In the photo display you see 3 pieces together, with a gentle push in each piece, it moves. Sometimes for a short moment in synchronicity. 210cm x 210cm x 155cm 155cm x 155cm x 116cm 106cm x 106cm x 75cm Based on a drawing of the symbol of the water drop rings, instead of closed circles, partly open from the centre to the outside ring, it represented openness. This sculpture is the variation of it, because of the 3 rings able to be disposed in different ways, it means coexistence. For the Amsterdam Light Festival 2017 we proposed “Coexistence” sculpture combined with light stream, it was not selected. But after we made a model, we discovered more than 10 other ways to display it, and children even more. Made together with Frank Hietbrink Different sizes and stainless steel possibility.
