CONCRETE Sculpture

I create three-dimensional art to express my experiences through traveling, daily life and people I have met along the way. It is very inspirational, to re-create captured memories through a three dimensional picture. Which may appear to be something different from the initial captured moment to the final executed imagination of a memory. Looking deeper at this work might encourage people to share their experiences and interests. It’s a representation of distinctive aspects of life. Furthermore it gives me the opportunity to learn about others, their passions and values. The artwork is made from plaster of Paris, which makes each piece very unique. Every single imprint is hollow which makes this art delicate. Each individual mould is made of either carved salty dough, card, wood pieces or plastic objects. All materials for the moulds are subject to what I want to express and create. Therefore it is a very unique way to achieve certain shapes. http://manuelursprung.com/
