My work takes as a starting point, my body and its present emotional and physical state. The pieces expose a part of my life and what I feel of it. It forms a space that arises from inside the metaphor of my body and turns it into an area of dialogue, action and transformation, in which I can make visible all those relationships I do not understand and express what they produce both emotionally and sensorial, to me. My work turns these emotions and feelings into a space, in a movement and words that I develop as part of the creative process to transform plastically matter into scene and expose as a dramaturgical conflict, my existence as an artist.

At this moment my work is transitioning from the figurative to the abstract. I find it interesting how the eyes can transform reality to new forms and interpretations. My research has always been related to the body and the life inside it. I feel curios about what I can’t see; emotions, blood flow, and how these are manifested and revealed. I try to give a new significance to these manifestations making them visible, transforming them into a space, a form or an image by using textile. This material weaved and embroidered, for me, is like a ritual act, because when I am weaving, drawing or embroidering, is when I feel that the work is in its deepest state and I can recover something of that lost body.
