About The Artwork

Did you know that there are more than 5000 species of frogs in the world? That they make up 88 percent of all amphibians? That they can breathe in water and on land? I believe, we often have very little information about the living world that surrounds us. Frogs are an interesting animal and mankind has always paid attention to them. For example, in ancient Egypt, the frog was a symbol of emerging and always renewing life due to its reproductive capacity and probably also the visible transformation from an egg to a tadpole and from it to a four-legged adult. The primordial gods born from mud in ancient Egypt were often depicted with a frog's head. The birth goddess Heket, a benevolent helper in folk belief, was depicted as a frog. You can also see this sculpture of a frog as an animal, but also as a symbol of the cycle of life. It's up to you whether you buy it for any reason...

I was born in 1990 in Budapest. As a small child, I hung out in the studio of my father - the prominent Hungarian sculptor Erno Toth. As a schoolboy, I already actively helped him in modeling and casting his sculptures. Between 2008 and 2010, I studied biology at the University of Szeged. However, my desire to realize my creative potential was stronger, so I still graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Painting and became a professional artist. The motifs of my sculptural works are still diverse. In my sculptures, I like to capture dynamic moments and characteristic poses of athletes, animals, and birds. I try to immortalize a dynamic moment of movement into a static bronze form. However, my figurative work is also inspired by philosophical, mythological, literary or film subjects. I had about two dozen individual exhibitions or joint exhibitions with my father in Hungary and in several European countries. Perhaps hundreds of my works are already in the hands of collectors on all continents.
