About The Artwork
This abstract work is made from maple root wood. I cooked the wood in salted water to exterminate woodworms who had infected the material and whose wholes are still to be seen (now filled with wax). A film of stars whirling around a black hole in the center of our galaxy inspired me to carve this gravitation dance. It is sold without the pedestal. You´ll find more images of it on my website blog www.artrani.de. Another work of this matter I did about 45 years ago. I´ll have to clean and restore it a little before presenting it here a few days later.
