An exploration of shape and surface. I first built paper balls, strengthened them with latex and plaster, then scattered the balls over the wood surface. I then built many layers of calcium carbonate, latex and plaster mixture, allowing them to dry slowly, one after another. I love how they populate this textural terrain. Deliciously tactile, pure joy for senses, will make you smile gently and effortlessly.

Poetry, music, rebellion, femininity, humour and wonder of my world reveal themselves in images, both soft and hard, always mysterious, always in layers of meaning. My stories emerge like flowers opening up their petals, one at a time, as I try to bring to light all the facets of a certain moment in time, of a beautiful memory. But in the end, or in the beginning, it's all about love. I explore painting as a connection to our human vulnerability, of which love is its ultimate manifestation. https://www.instagram.com/gone_with_chinook/
