About The Artwork

Humanity has long contemplated the idea of the crowd, with varying viewpoints on the matter. Hovhannes Tumanyan, the prominent dreamer of the Caucasus, offered his perspective: "The earth is in danger when the people become a crowd... The people and the crowd are opposites. The people are wise, generous, and kind, while the crowd is fickle, irritable, and inclined towards malevolence." To some, these reflections may sound somewhat manipulative, as I firmly believe that people and the collective are not opposing but rather interrelated categories, with one encompassing the other. Beyond the romantic viewpoint, this is a utopian ideal, a beautiful dream, a form of justification. For me, these concepts converge into the broader category of society, the only rational unit of human coexistence. Society, in its essence, is remarkably patient and adaptable, forgiving of nearly everything except true genius. There are discernible paths for altering the course of society, with two primary methods: evolution and revolution. I am adamantly against the latter, as revolutions are typically envisioned by romantics, carried out by fanatics, and their consequences are often reaped by opportunists. On the other hand, there exist numerous evolutionary routes, but I find the transformation of the individual's character and morality to be the most acceptable. Just as a person, when merging new qualities, perceptions, depths, and achievements, begins to diverge from the societal norms and chart a fresh course, this individual becomes a catalyst for progress, shaping the future through their actions. In essence, it is the deeply introspective, morally-centered individual who paves the way for the future, and opposition to the conventional is merely a natural byproduct. Any reform that isn't centered on moral transformation is, in my view, futile, echoing the sentiments of Thomas Carlyle.

Classification serves as the fundamental pillar of order. My current focus lies in comprehending the intricate facets of life, the world, and humanity's role within the eternal and boundless expanse. It may seem that this topic has been the subject of contemplation since time immemorial, with individuals from the select few of the human race dedicating their thoughts to it. Nonetheless, I find myself perpetually immersed in this quest to grasp the eternal, oscillating between opposition and alignment, striving to perceive and comprehend. I've found that classification, categorization, and structuring provide the most tangible means of understanding the world, life, and the very essence of being. This, to me, is perhaps one of the most complex yet exceedingly fascinating inquiries. It's in this realm that I feel a profound connection because, to grasp the eternal, one must establish a connection, and the sole recognized form of connecting with the eternal is through art. As a result, my art is a resolute exploration of the innermost facets, the essence, existence, and transformations of humanity. I endeavor to capture the subtleties and phenomena at the invisible fringes of our world, seeking to fathom their dimensions and classify them, ultimately advancing my fellow human beings. In conclusion, I'd like to share the following reflection: "He is doubly blind who does not see his own blindness." The contrast between discerning, diligent individuals and ignorant idlers hinges on this self-awareness. Therefore, the pursuit of Truth emerges as the sole endeavor worthy of a knight, for Conscience serves as the arbiter in cases where the law proves impotent. A person's wisdom is not solely contingent on their experiences but rather on their ability to channel those experiences into meaningful actions.I wish you all the best and unwavering dedication, my kindred friend.
