This sculpture was originally designed for my parents, who wanted a sculpture near the pond in their garden.
Eventually it became a fountain and it was casted in bronze.

The woman is kneeling and has water flowing out of her hands and softly streaming into the pond, covered with lilies and cress.

This sculpture in clay is the original version I made. This is not a fountain.

I still have the casted fountain-sculpture in bronze in my studio.

What inspires me is day to day life, people, nature, music, dance. I process these experiences into forms in a broad variety of materials. One of my favourite topics is The Fragility of Life, particularly from a feminine point of view. Born in the Netherlands, studied and lived in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Since 1992 living and working in Maastricht and Heerlen.
