About The Artwork
My medium of choice is wax and this sculpture was an early piece I had cast in bronze. My work tends to be a method of self discovery and usually has significance to my life at the time of making. When I look at it now, twenty years later, it seems to be saying ' departure' accompanied with emotional distress and perhaps upwardly led by the bird turning on my head.
