Perfect next a thatched cottage!
Sat in the sun
Or hiding in the undergrowth
He has a great sihouette
Sculpture: Metal, Resin, Stone, Bronze, Clay on Iron, Bronze.

I live in the Welsh countryside. Surrounded by wonderful wildlife, and what is more wonderful than a hare? I have watched them leading and chasing recently on the Marlborough Downs in Wiltshire and was inspired to capture their dual nature. They seem to be both deadly serious and at the same time hilarious.
Listening Hare, the original was sculpted onto a wireframe using plaster. Once mixed, plaster sets quite quickly, so you have to mix a small pot, wait till it gets firm and then you have about 2 minutes to apply it before it gets too stiff to use. You repeat this process again and again until he is finished. This process gives you time in between each application to really think about the next move. Then you have to be very direct and decisive. This leads to a method that is both considered as well as inspired. There is no opportunity to change your mind. I then took a mould and cast him into either Bronze resin or Iron resin. This photo shows the iron resin which has then been purposefully rusted.
