About The Artwork
Wall object made of cherrywood. The surface shows rough cutting marks (from chainsaw) which are painted black. This rough marks stand in contrast to the smooth sanded surface and create a tension in aesthetic and philosophical terms. We all get cuts and marks (besides joy and happyness) from life and they make us what we are - unique and distinctive. The surface is oiled for protection with several layers of linseed oil. Signed at the back. Ready to hang on your wall.
