This piece was inspired by the time trajectory we experience while gazing at ancient artifacts. In this case the artifacts are 20th century ordinary, domestic remnants and found objects. Being an artist was a given in my family, one in which my mother and grandfather were both committed artists. I spent every summer of my youth on the shores of Bois Blanc Island, a pristine jewel that would eventually inform and inspire my work. Currently I am focusing on wooden assemblages which are constructed of various woods and found objects. They are in preparation for three upcoming invitational shows.
