What/who inspired the work? Technology is great but it also disconnects us from nature and one day we will wake up surrounded by technical elements and realize that we don't have forests anymore as our ancestors had. Mankind developed by evolution but our ambition disconnects us more and more from our roots. What do you hope its viewers will feel/think? The viewers should connect with this artwork on a new emotional level, but the face is very much familiar looking and easily to connect with visually. Think about the journey of the different parts used and how many years it may took to have grown before the artist could use them as they are. Why did you choose the medium, subject matter, style? As mentioned before, as an artist I am very much exploring different subjects and thoughts, a specific medium or maybe I am just remembering the time of my childhood where I have played a lot in forests and in nature in general. As a kid I saw a lot of faces in trees, plants and clouds and it made me smile again. Maybe this sculpture was a try to connect emotionally to this innocent times.
