About The Artwork

"I drew inspiration from the elegance of geometric shapes and the clean lines of modern architecture. Each element of this kinetic sculpture was meticulously handcrafted to embody these influences, resulting in a mesmerizing interplay of form and function. The sculpture consists of two parts: a frame structure, meticulously forged from mild steel and finished with a heat patina, connected to a base crafted from rosewood and steel. This combination imbues the piece with depth and character. At its heart lies the centerpiece of the sculpture: a suspended mobile crafted from hammer-textured copper, acrylic shapes, wood, and wool. As Orbital #1 gracefully moves, it transforms into a captivating canvas for light and shadow, reflecting and refracting in a mesmerizing display that enchants the senses. With each subtle shift in perspective, new shapes emerge, breathing life into what was once a static object and inviting viewers to embark on an exploration of its ever-evolving aesthetic."
