About The Artwork
This sculpture was created for a museum exhibition in Tsukuba, Japan. The exhibition included artists from around the world, varying in different mediums. This sculpture was the only stone sculpture presented. I handpicked this marble from a quarry, at a stone carving symposium held in Marble, Colorado. The piece is based off of an abstraction of a deer pelvis. Much of my work is based off of bones found in the desert.
