About The Artwork
Many little creatures lived here, continually remodeling. It was confined by two large rocks right at the tide line of the Pacific Ocean. Adjacent pieces were carved away and the little homes carefully cleaned to preserve their structure. The flowing brown patterns in the wood have been polished by the tides. We will never know the history of the inhabitants. But if you put your ear to the wood, you may hear the sound of the tides.

Maybe that influenced my love of the beauty of wood patterns and flowing colors. Nature is the real artist. i just have to look for the story and harmony of the wood. These guide my carving tools.
