About The Artwork

This sculptur is also a simple music instrument. It's realized during an international artproject in Luxembourg. There is a strong wooden frame (a little bit like a harp)with tensed sound woods. There is no exact musical scale. But this is not important because it's made to discover its possibilities. The sound woods are tensed by steel wire cables and they are fixed on there swinging nodes. There are also two pairs of mallets. The sculpture is fixed on a steel plate. It can stand inside or outside. The wood is oak wood.

First I wanted to become a scientist but than I studied fine arts. I'm working as a sculpor and painter but sometimes there are also land-art projects. I'm teaching at a small artschool for young people at Donaueschingen. My artworks seems to be abstract, but there is a inspirition from nature. I'm often on the way observing their colors and shapes Also mathematics and music plays an important role. Sometimes I use wood and stones to make improvised music.
