About The Artwork

The current Buxton Memorial sits quietly in Victoria Tower Gardens opposite the Houses of Parliament in London and is a nonfunctioning Gothic Revival water fountain that commemorates the emancipation of slaves in 1834. This piece reimagines the memorial, at a greater scale, more fitting of the liberation it celebrates. The artwork comes with a glass dome cover included
