Signed and dated on inside plane
- A three dimensional double puzzle sculpture in the shape of a cube with on the outside three (tetrahedronal shaped) elements turning around each corner, twelve elements in total. As these outside elements are turned around, they expose three inside (tetrahedronal shaped) elements, one on each corner (eight in total), forming an inside cube face / plane.
- All outside and inside elements are each individually marked by having cut out shapes (circles, squares, crosses, etc). In solved position, the cube shows four matching cut out shapes on each of the six outside faces / planes of the cube, and three matching cut out shapes on each of the eight inside faces / planes of the cube. On one of the inside planes I have signed (red acrylic on engraved letters) and dated (03-20 for march 2020) the cube.
- This Tor Ammo Cube has been scrambled by turning the elements randomly around the corners. The aim is to solve the puzzle by turning the elements methodically around the corners untill all six outside cube faces / planes as well as all eight inside cube faces / planes show matching cut out shapes, hence this Tor Ammo Cube is a 3d-dblpzl (three dimensional double puzzle).
- This 3D-DBLPZL is printed by a Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) 3D printer, and has come out of the printer as one fully assembled piece. Dimension is (nearly) 6x6x6 cm. The design complies with the SLS requirement of certain space between moving parts, while at the same time making sure there is not too much free movement between parts. This design requires that initially during the first turning of an outside element, this element has to be forced 'free' of the part where it is (minimally) connected to. This has already been done, and this Tor Ammo Cube is ready to use.
