Carved male torso (apple wood). I cut the wood in the way that the head inclines slightly to the side which gives the sculpture a "soft dynamic". The fissures in the torso symbolize our human vulnerability. The torso is finished with several layers of linseed oil to increase the wild texture of the wood (look at the "eye" on the head and the brighter spot where the heart is) and to make it insensitive to moisture. Signed at the floor space. Shipment without white base.

Tom Charly Biegler is a visual artist based near Vienna. Driven by a vast curiosity towards the world and a strong interest in exploring different materials and techniques Tom Charly works in the fields of painting, sculpture and photography. “Walking through life with open eyes (and ears of course) means to get permanent inputs – those which matter to me are often the basis for artworks.“ One source of great inspiration which I really like is travelling but also the daily routine can trigger thoughts and ideas which lead to reaching für brushes or camera.
