About The Artwork
The sculpture provokes with the way the material is treated. Mobile and interactive, it can be viewed from the various positions it occupies. The static, massive and heavy stone block has been turned into a light, breathable and moving material with a dynamic structure. The forms carry the charge of artistic freedom and convey this positive energy to the audience. The material is Bulgarian gray granite, in which a fragment of a woman's body is sculpted. The organic structure of the human figure is transformed in places into a mechanical structure similar to rings. These details and elements surprise, change the meaning of the female body, which can be moved, situated, observed from different and atypical points of view.

Bulgaria
Kamen Tanev is born in 1973, lives and works in Sofia, Bulgaria. He studied at the National Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia, which he graduated in 1998 with a diploma in Sculpture, and completed his studies with a Master in Sculpture at the same academy. He has been a lecturer at the National Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia for two years since 2005. He has participated in various symposiums of sculpture worldwide and honored with awards. His works has been exhibited and numerous group exhibitions in Bulgaria, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Austria, Italy, India, Taiwan, China and Guatemala, and five solo exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad. Monumental sculptures (more than 70) are located in Bulgaria, Greece, Russia, Israel, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Egypt, Turkey, Hungary, Austria, Denmark, China, Taiwan, Syria, etc.
