About The Artwork
This art deco bronze sculpture was published in the British book "Assembled " . I had the idea for ''Waiting for you" while listening to the Otis Redding classic, "(Sittin' On The Dock of the Bay)". I wanted to build a small humanoid robot that would be just sitting and waiting for its buyer. The original 3d figure is created in recycled metal and it is transformed into bronze . This bronze statue on the marble is made in a limited edition of 12 sculptures. This is 1/12 and is currently available.The weight is 22 lb. The patina is applied through a detailed chemical process and all done by hand. Each bronze patina is unique and no one is the exact same.The care with which I create my characters gives them, despite their physical immobility,an engaging personality. My bronzy metal sculpture merges human characteristics to give this bronze art sculpture a unique personality.
