About The Artwork

This piece was inspired by a little band called Twisted Sister. I get a lot of my inspiration from songs, song titles or bands. This is one of my favorite 80's hair band songs so I figured I should make a picture of it. When I think about rocking, its a no brainer that the devil horns come to mind. Dee Snyder was into the glam so I thought a little silver skull bracelet that I found should be added. The background of the hand is the music and lyrics to the song. This piece is a collage made on acid free watercolor paper using fabric, found objects, paper, ribbon etc. This piece comes in a 16x20 black frame. P.S. This is an embarrassing secret so dont tell anybody...... I came across an art contest for something called Heavy Metal Magazine right after I made this piece. I was like oh wow!! This piece is perfect for that contest. Im a rocker chick and had never heard of heavy metal magazine but I wanted to subscribe now because Im into that stuff. So I entered the contest (still not knowing what heavy metal magazine was, but I assumed it was just as it sounds). After I entered, i started looking through all of the other art that was entered and there were all of these naked women and dragons and things of that sort. I thought, IM TOTALLY GOING TO WIN THIS !!! Then I looked up heavy metal magazine and i know that I blushed to myself because that magazine has nothing to do with music at all!! Its a frickin Sci Fi erotica comic type magazine. UGH LOL. Thats a story i'll never forget!
