About The Artwork

This collage is part of a series, produced in Japan from September to November 2021, and made on a traditional Japanese support called "Shikishi". The Shikishi is a paper mounted on cardboard with a golden border. It is used in poetry, for calligraphy, drawing or painting. Last collage made in Takayama in September 2021. Made with the help of The Japan Times, I imagined a plane landing while a ship was opening the North Arctic Seaway between Europe and Asia. Green landing also reminds me of Greenland. All of this made me meditate deeply.
