I drew this when my sister was looking for a Rooster for her house. In the South there is Roosters in about every kitchen you walk into. Why I have no idea and yes I am Southern. I have seen more ceramic and iron Roosters in women's kitchens than I seen when I lived on my Grandparents Chicken Farm when I was a child even before starting school. I loved growing up there to have my whole family under one roof to a child was a blessing, even though 4 of us had to share one bed, I still loved it. I do remember I was into everything as a child and really was a handful for my parents. I called this piece Brewster the Rooster because I was as I usually did ease drop on the elders who sat outside and whittled cedar sticks down to nothing but talked al ot while the women snapped green beans. I remembered hearing a joke about Brewster the Rooster and to this day is the only joke that comes to mind when someone asks for a joke, however it is the type of joke you can never tell due to some things I had found out what was through the years. Its a good thing I never told the joke or even let them know I knew it. I can say that now since they are all long gone. May they RIP just like Brewster.

This is a God Given Gift. I am disabled due to a spinal cord injury in a MVA and I am selling my artwork as a way to supplement my disability income of $800.00 a month, that is before they take out my Medicare insurance which is a joke and useless but costs me 128.00 a month. So what is left over is what they expect me to live on a month. Due to my age I had just started to pay in on social security. I was placed on disability against my wishes by a judge who ended my ability to work by ordering permanent total disability. I was in my 30s when the car accident almost severed my spinal cord. I had emergency surgery and my work career ended.
