About The Artwork

The starting point was the general concept of multiplicity. This was due to the geometry of the literary sphere and the math. Version of the colors in the RGB color space. The work was created by a start of filling the sheet at many randomly taken points, the drafting of characters, spots and patterns whose left, enhance and exaggerate to connect. Detail by detail was a compression of the material that were compositionally into larger units. Important to me was both the leaving of surface and on the other moments of the production of more spatial depth.

Based on my earlier works, which had the drawing-illustrative representation of mythical texts and poems to object, followed by a renewed confrontation with purely linear drawing and following with physically-dimensional drawing. My focus was and is in the graphic area, where the painting is already involved very much in the works. Here I follow the very traditional approach to find first clarifications in the drawing and then to address the problems in painting. My recent work deals with problems of geometry to represent the world. For this I refer to the developments from Giotto to the Italian Quattro Centro, especially Piero della Francesca. From contemporary development I am concerned by the approach of the Cubists, but I exclude the resorting to primitive and Euclidean designs, and idealize an organic molding. Interest and work tasks are particularly in the free treatment of space and in the connection to that thing that is not to be seen separated from space but constitutes from space "conditions" and "Raumsein" (like being space himself). The theoretically rigorous foundation serves as a platform and as a guide to enter the graphical / scenic work to an artistic formulation as emotional areas opens and ultimately - as possible - in the representation on individual, subjective themes, refer to a "more objective world " and could stretch the anthropocentric view (not seeing). Currently, I use the simplest mediums of pencil, graphite, colored pencil, paper. In addition, I am also interested to involve the connection to my other work as technician in these processes and certainly reclaim inspiration from this side and on the other hand to pursue intellectual games dating back to the industrial design. Fascinating about the artistic work is the pure creative, corrective execution of a work and the subsequent Contemplation which can recursively run through theoretical storytelling to new approaches modulations or to disposal.
