About The Artwork
The "I am me" was inspired by the self-reflection that I was going through at the time; by how we sometimes see ourselves upside down or how we feel completely upside down. The red lines represent everything that connect the image of us that everyone else has with the image that we create in our heads. It is a part of a series of drawings made in January 2018, done by graphite pencil and watercolours on A4 sketching paper. This drawing series also helped me form my own style that I use most often when creating portraits.
