About The Artwork

The reflected light in the eye of the mighty eagle owl is particularly impressive in this drawing. My personal fascination with owls is strongly present in this work and I have paid much attention to the owl's plumage. Commissions welcome Eagle owl, drawn with high quality Graphic markers on special Marker paper (50.5 lb.)

Andrea Isch lives in Zurich, Switzerland and works as a freelance artist and professional musician. The visual artist has a particular fascination for portrait painting and is constantly inspired to bring not only the characteristic facial features, but also the unique and emotional expression of a person onto the canvas. Another source of inspiration is her love of nature; she is particularly fond of old gnarled trees, mysterious owls and colourful chameleons. Her paintings - preferably done in oil and acrylic - live from the play of light and shadow, intense colour contrasts, a sensitive handling of colour nuances and not infrequently contain a certain mysticism. She developed a special style of drawing with graphic markers. «I create visual art and music from the same inner source; both art forms live through the differentiated, sensitive, conscious and at the same time intuitive handling of nuances of colour, form or sound. Central to me is the expression and ultimately the touching of the soul.»
