About The Artwork
My grandfather passed away when I was very young so only way I can get to know him is through other's stories and old faded photographs. This drawing is my way to visualize the memory of him, meaning it is my way to try and capture the way memories would look like if we could print them as we do photographs. I chose tracing paper for drawing surface because it is translucent just as I imagine memories to be. The tracing paper is then placed atop the handmade recycled paper which by itself caries information that got transformed and faded over time.
