My love, don't cross that river Print

Have you thought of losing someone you love? Or have you already lost someone you love? Death is like crossing a river that has no way of ever coming back. In Greek mythology, a river connecting a life before death and a life after death is called 'Styx'. I was fascinated with the idea of 'Styx' and therefore wanted to create my own version. In this work, I imagined myself letting go of a coffin carrying my beloved one at 'Styx'. I imagined what i would do and how i would feel in a situation like that. I don't think I would be able to even hold my head up because of my sorrow and pain. How hard would it be to let go of someone you love into a such deep river that has no end? All i would say is "my love, don't cross that river".
