About The Artwork
The original was created using Copic markers and white ink. The drawing is based on a photograph taken by my partner in Tokyo. I am in the drawing, the figure on the far left is me. I adjusted the colour palette to make it limited to blues, creams and greys. The style I use is inspired by Studio Ghibli animation and traditional Japanese woodblock prints. The drawing is signed on the front, in the bottom right corner.

I'm an Australian artist who is currently travelling abroad. I've been working as a professional artist since 2016. I have studied fine arts for many years prior to that. While in the past I worked with a wide range of mediums, I currently specialise in Copic marker drawings. In 2019 I was a finalist in the annual Copic marker award, and in 2018 I won the Bluethumb Art prize drawing category for my artwork "Smoke".
