About The Artwork
This drawing was made during the first hard lockdown in my country. The Museum of Contemporary Art in Ghent collected several drawings by post as they were closed due to the pandemic. This drawing is still on exhibition in the museum along with several other black and white drawings about the lockdown. In drawings I like to use different media and styles in one drawing together. Although I consider myself as an abstract artist from time to time I like to draw figures in a rather cartoonish and illustrative style using my ink brush pen as a favourite tool. Using other media like chalk and colored acrylic ink, I keep it interesting by evoking different textures and patterns.
