About The Artwork

The drawing is made in graphite on paper measuring cm. 22.7x20.7. It's simply a humorous scene depicting a printmaking mouse making prints of Albrecht Durer. The world of copperplate printing has always fascinated me, but beyond the work of the artist there is the precious and almost never recognized work of the printer: to make a comparison with music, the artist is as if he were the composer and the printer and as if he was the orchestra conductor, therefore it is he who ultimately makes the opera enjoyable. It's a work of intelligence and cunning, so the mouse seemed appropriate to me.

My name is Barucci Marco, I was born in September '76 and I studied art in Turin from high school at the Albertina academy. My first public exhibition was in 2013 in the prestigious Davico gallery in Turin, since then I have always worked for private commissions, restoration projects, environmental decorations, I have collaborated with various artists in public and private events. Now I dedicate myself to innovative exhibition projects and national and international fairs. My passion for art immediately led me to choose classic artisanal methods and techniques, so I build my paintings from the preparation of the raw canvas to the mystique of the colors. The study of composition and light is what fascinates me most and I hope this is noticeable in my paintings.
