Installation of ETAS at the Caribbean Festival of Arts 2008 in Georgetown, Guyana (Photo Mag. Marianne Feldmann, Austrian Embassy Venezuela) This world-embracing art project shall express that love is the most important pre-condition for a harmonious coexistence. Transparent foils (in a length up to 10 m and more) with a quote by Thérèse de Lisieux being continuously repeated, written in silver lettering and different languages has been presented on all continents and this way symbolically unite the world.

Karin Hannak is an Austrian artist. Her work includes capillographic, photographic, installation, video and conceptual art. In 1990, the artist changes her way of expression from painting to CapilloArt and conceptual art. As of 1993, projects in white, poster walls, light installations, video and photo projects are following. The concern for mankind and the future of our world is becoming a central topic. Karin Hannak's work is contributing more and more to defy the violence and the brutality of our time. Moreover, it expresses that love is the most important pre-condition for a harmonious coexistence. Starting 2008, the artist encompasses the world with "Embracing Time and Space" (ETAS), a symbol for love and peace - represented by a banner in transparent foil depicting a quote by Therese de Lisieux.
