In the rural landscape, the architecture of energy generation interacts with the simplicity of farms. Wind turbines, oil pumps & tanks modify the agricultural field with purposeful forms. This image is of a field full of storage tanks for liquified natural gas, held at subzero temperatures to keep it liquid. The potential energy it will generate is juxtaposed with the enormous energy taken to keep the temperature so low. I use weaving’s rational lines to make sense of a strange juxtaposition of culture.
