About The Artwork

In Parkrit Suskint's novel “The Pigeon”, there is nothing repetitive and special about Noel, the protagonist of a pigeon, but it is the one who suddenly jumped into a satisfactory daily life and destroyed it and led Noel to deviate. When asked what the dove in the novel did, he just walked through the open window of the hallway and wandered in front of his single room door. I don't understand, but for me, who had a little bit of mysophobia at the time, Noel's horror felt like my own. Since then, the two children I have seen in the Vatican City have looked so happy to feed the pigeons. Was the dove you saw at that time in the center of the Catholic Church where the Pope was? It seemed to symbolize peace. Ten years have passed, and mysophobia has disappeared long ago for some reason, but I still avoid pigeons. I can't see the pigeons that are common on the street these days. When we were young, the whole world was a concentric space where the boundary between reality and virtual was ambiguous, and a playground filled with interesting things that would make it difficult to remain still for a while. However, As I get older, the space of reality where the boundaries were ambiguous gradually expands, and soon we live freely between reality, virtual and concentric spaces, and the space of reality becomes everything in the world. This is usually called 'adult'. As a painting artist, I create a virtual concentric space through paintings for children and adults who reminisce the nostalgia of childhood in fragments of blurry memories in the real space where we live. I want to be a small haven for them.
