About The Artwork

What/who inspired the work? This work was inspired by Sufism, also known as Tasawwuf. It is a mystical form of Islam, a school of practice that emphasizes the inward search for the God and shuns materialism. It is an act of getting lost within you in search of light and divine vitality, discarded of all worry for the external world. When glancing at the person performing, you can't help but get lost in the way they move, lost in the utter bliss and being one with them, it is impeccably eccentric in this chaotic world. They look to be lost in a world far beyond imagination or as I like to put words to it "Adrift in an eternal realm" What do you hope its viewers will feel/think? Blissfulness, I hope people find this piece as eccentric as I find it. I hope it makes the viewers come to a brief stop and can't help but dwell in the beauty of it all Why did you choose the medium, subject matter, and style? I choose acrylic medium as it is very convenient to use and gets work done quickly. The colors represent the feel of it all. The hues of the yellow show warmth and internal light. The abstract notion of colors on the side represents every ounce of emotion in the external world affected by divine energy. The subject, to me, is of deep importance. It is rare to find such peace in this chaotic world and you can't help but stop to wonder, how they find such peace in all evil, it is simply beautiful. Most of my works are abstract with few details and this style speaks of freedom. To me detailed and realistic art is like a cage, you are bound to make a replica of another thing rather than making one of your own, and no doubt realistic works and details capture the beauty but it's too perfect for me. I find the beauty of things in them not so perfect. Abstract art as I said earlier speaks of freedom, it gives you wings and you can do whatever you want to do or make with it. Just a blend of colors and feelings all in one it's imperfectly perfect
