About The Artwork
This is a self portrait of myself. It is from a picture of me during a concert at the Comunal Teather of Florence. I play in the role of principal bassoon in the Orchestra. I trayed to capture the great intensity and concentration of when I play. I substitute the real background with a blu tapestry to symbolize the intense spirituality of the music I was playing.

I am the first bassoon player at the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. I always had a great interest in visiting exhibition and museums during the tournée abroad with Zubin Mehta. Suddenly at the beginning of this year I just start to draw and paint selfportraits in my free time between a concert and another. I feel a rich good sensation when I paint that is similar to the great passion that I feel when I play. Therefore I decided to keep going. I hope that I would have an exhibition in the future.
