About The Artwork
We went through some very turbulent social and political times in my country. That was the time I produced this piece of work which emphasizes the importance of ordinary, hard working, intelligent, politically independent people who have been totally ignored at those times and marginalized to the extreme. Picture it self contains, among other things, two individuals, sitting at their chairs in the theater hall, watching in disbelief the social drama as it unfolds in front of their eyes, as if they were in a circus tent. Technically and graphically, I`ve tried to recreate that psychological confusion in their minds during those times, as if they where living seven different realities at the same time.

My name is Genc Rodiqi and I have been drawing all my life in all kinds of different materials but never in my slightest dreams have I thought of becoming an artist. At the age of 53, in 2018, encouraged by my closest friends and my family, I started creating serious art with immediate international success. I am self taught and I produce only what comes directly from my brain and hands. It is my intention to continue producing art this way, without any influence from anyone, in order to keep my originality uncompromised. I refuse to take any drawing classes nor to look into any kind of drawing or painting tutorials. Saying this, I dislike being called outsider artist because that does not represent the true picture about my self.
