About The Artwork

I was taking a hike in the hills of Gödöllő, when i found this fallen tree. A beautiful, moss-covered tree trunk, i'm very fond of these, they're my favorite. But i rarely find fallen trees with shapes that satisfy my needs for a good composition. On this particular afternoon, however, i've got lucky, and run into this scene. I knew that i'll paint this tree over and over, so a made photo sketches, and got back to my studio. First i did some study, then made this painting. It's on a wooden panel, it has no hanging panel or frame yet, but i can put one on, if requested. I went back to the forest at winter, wanted to do a "winter edition", the tree covered with snow, but i"ve never found it. Instead, i've run into a wild boar, and it chased me back to the road :)

I always wanted to be a writer. How did i end up with paining? It's simple- i had no inspiration in writing. So i went to the teachers training, and there they asked me: "Okay, exactly what do you want to teach?" I had no idea by then, so i choose "Arts&Crafts", becouse that sounded like fun. It turned out pretty soon, that it IS fun, indeed. I graduated as an art teacher; with awful drawing and painting skills, but with a lot of enthusiasm. I went to Szeged, became a teacher, and while i was busy teaching pupils, i was working on my own skills as well. Paining is fascinating. I like to do it- i like it even more than teaching. The process of creation, the preservation of the moment and sight; i want to do this for the rest of my life. So i'm into landscapes now, but also, i want to learn portrait painting/drawing; we'll see if i can come up anything you're interested in. I will try, for sure :)
